Terms of Use
The short version
- It's a free tool to help you find cheaper fuel. Use it sensibly.
- We try to be accurate but the data isn't always perfect — always check the price at the pump.
- Don't use it for anything illegal or malicious.
Who we are
Fuel Path is an independent service. Not a registered company. Contact: info@fuelpath.co.uk.
What this service is
- A free tool that finds the cheapest fuel along a route in the UK, using public data from the statutory Fuel Finder scheme (OGL v3.0).
What it isn't
- It's not turn-by-turn navigation. Routes are advisory — use proper sat-nav for actual driving.
- It's not a guaranteed real-time price feed. Prices are as fresh as the source data, which is updated frequently but not always instantly. We flag stale prices but cannot guarantee anything is current.
- It's not investment, business, or financial advice.
- It's not a substitute for fuel cards or fleet management software.
Data accuracy
- Fuel prices come from the statutory Fuel Finder scheme under OGL v3.0.
- We display them in good faith, but the underlying data can contain errors — especially during the early phase of the scheme.
- Always check the displayed price on the forecourt sign before paying. We're not responsible if a station charges a price different from what we showed you.
- If you spot a wrong price, use the "Report a price" link in the top bar to flag it with the data scheme directly.
Routing and safety
- Routes use OpenStreetMap data via OpenRouteService. OSM is volunteer-edited and can be wrong, incomplete, or out-of-date.
- Do not rely solely on these routes for safety-critical navigation.
- Always combine with your own judgement, road signs, and current conditions.
- We are not responsible for what happens on the road. Drive carefully.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Scrape or automate the site beyond reasonable personal use.
- Try to bypass our rate limits, mess with our infrastructure, or break the service for others.
- Use it for anything unlawful.
- Misrepresent prices or data shown here (e.g. screenshots that imply rankings we didn't make).
If you do any of the above, we may block your access without notice.
Liability
The service is provided "as is", without any warranties beyond what UK consumer law requires.
- We're not liable for any losses (financial, time, fuel, missed appointments, etc.) arising from your use of the service.
- Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights as a UK consumer — including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — and nothing excludes liability for things UK law says can't be excluded (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
